The Blaise + Co. mission is to enfranchise emerging artists by offering them an alternative means to professional success from the transitional commercial gallery system. We work with artists to identify and propel their professional goals by curating exhibitions, offering a bespoke menu of business development services, and offering membership to the online artist forum COLLABORATE. Each month, artists all over the world log-on to COLLABORATE to dialogue with one another as inspired by the comments and postings of an art world innovator acting as Guest Host. Who better to host the June COLLABORATE conversation than another young entrepreneur on a mission to enable artists? Here is a peak at the inspiring credentials of your Guest Host, our Sotheby’s colleague Judit Bozsan:
Judit Bozsan received a Joint Honors MA in Art History and Psychology degree from the University of St Andrews in 2007 and an MA in Art Business from Sotheby’s Institute of Art, New York in 2008. Judit worked in the Private Client Group of Sotheby’s for two years and was a seminar leader in the art business masters program at Sotheby’s Institute of Art in New York throughout two academic years. Currently based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, Judit is active as a private art adviser and independent curator. Recognizing the challenges facing artists in today’s economic environment, with ever-growing budget cuts in the cultural sector and limited space for representation and visibility, Judit set out to create a platform accessible from anywhere in the world on the internet, to connect and empower artists and collectors on a global level. In 2010, together with her brother, she went on to found EURART Project, the first intercultural platform in Europe to offer real art in an affordable form. With curatorial ambassadors actively at work around the world to identify and introduce new talent and established artists to art lovers through EURART’s limited edition museum-quality prints, EURART’s mission is not only to contribute to the process of making art collecting accessible by offering it in an affordable form but also to open up new doors of opportunities for collectors to acquire artworks that would otherwise entail high costs and time to get familiar with. Adding to the apropos of Judit’s hosting the June month of COLLABORATE, is the online launch of her company, scheduled for June 23rd 2011.
