NEW YORK, NY — Blaise + Co. Contemporary Art is pleased to present Through and Through, a bespoke salon exhibition of recent works for sale by painters Winston Chmielinski and Leah Dixon. Opening on June 16th with a private cocktail viewing, Through and Through will remain accessible by appointment through the end of the month.
A collaboration in a private space, Through and Through is a testament to the artists’ commitment to self-expression. Revealed to a select audience in an intimate salon setting, the artists’ intentions are successfully stripped of the “hype” which has come to warn us of overt speculation.
While Chmielinski attacks the canvas with the painterly confidence of Willem de Kooning, Dixon carefuly plots the composition of each line in collaged paintings rooted in German Expressionism and Art Deco. Having once shared a studio, a complimentary equilibrium is, however, effortlessly achieved. Sharing the same visual space, Chmielinski and Dixon’s work exudes a subtle symmetry achieved only by two creative souls who have long infused one another’s processes. A carefully-curated display of raw talent, through and through.
