Creating a gallery for a new artist

• From the editing menu on the left, find Gallery/Add Gallery / Images
• Either upload individual images or an entire zipped package. Unless adding new images to a gallery that already exists, skip selecting anything from “Choose a Gallery” dropdown menu. If the Artist already has a page and/or a gallery, select the correct gallery from that dropdown menu to add new images to
• Once uploaded go to Gallery/Manage Gallery
• In the Gallery Settings area Change name of Gallery to the artist (i.e.: Damon Johnson and update Path name (i.e.: wp-content/gallery/damon-johnson). You can create the Artist’s page from this area by pressing the Add Page button off to the right – after selecting the Artists page as the main page to be a sub from. SAVE
• Go ahead and add descriptive copy to each thumbnail now showing in the bottom portion of the page. SAVE
• From the left editing menu find Pages. Click and open the artist page you just created. You will notice either a strip of thumbnails (in Visual mode) or a snippet of code i.e.: [ nggallery id=0 ] What ever the number of the Gallery or Album, so goes the number to the right of id=. Place other content (bio, etc) below that code or strip of thumbnails
• In the right Page Attributes section, select the Parent (choose Artist) and Template (choose No Sidebars). Press the big blue UPDATE button
• Done
